About the World Rural Tourism Conference

The Virtual Rural Tourism and Sustainable Development Conference 2021 on Sat, Sep 25, is a part of the World Rural Tourism Conference (WRTC), a non-profit conference-based platform. Its goals are to provide developmental win-win communication and establish long-term business relations with all members of the event. Laying on the foundation of the World Rural Tourism Town, the conference will set up a global advantageous development system referred to as the ‘Six in One: Headquarter, Institution, Activity, Industry, Theory, Brand,’ which will vitalise global rural tourism and enable its high-quality sustainable development.
As a daily service platform, the WRTC secretariat will be led by an established presidium composed of four departments: the Comprehensive Coordination Department, the International Department, the Domestic Cooperation Department, and the Marketing Department. There are also four executive committees: the International Communication Committee, the Academic Research and Monitoring Analysis Committee, the Branding and Marketing Committee, and the Industry Incubation and Education & Training Committee from five regions (China, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Americas, and Africa). In principle, the number of regular international participants (members) is determined to be 50, and the number of domestic participants (members) is 150. The first batch of conference participants (members) will be limited at 200.
The Third World Rural Tourism Conference in 2018
The World Rural Tourism Conference has been successfully held for three consecutive years. In each event, rural tourism experts, scholars and international traveling agent representatives from various countries were invited to foregather in Huzhou, Zhejiang, China to discuss the development of rural tourism and participate in lively festivals held in villages (districts).
The 4th World Rural Tourism Conference will be held from September 24-26, 2021 at the World Rural Tourism Town, located in the Wuxing District of Huzhou. Under the theme of ‘Promoting Global Tourism Cooperation and Sharing the Beautiful Rural Life,’ it will host numbers of activities, including an opening ceremony, the Asia Pacific Summit in Huzhou of the ‘Belt and Road Initiative’ World Rural Tourism, World Rural Tourism Industry Summit, Summit of the World Rural Tourism Traveling Agent, World Rural Tourism Industry Leaders Summit, and more.
