Celebrate SME Day with PATA International Member LightBlue Environmental Consulting
June 27, 2021 is Small and Medium Enterprises Day - SME Day! SMEs are the backbone of the tourism industry and play a significant role in its development. Their services include accommodations, catering, excursions, leisure activities, and more.
According to the OECD, these enterprises often take a dominant position in the supply chain in terms of their number of businesses, employees, and percentage of the industry’s profit. In other words, SMEs represent a big part of the tourism economy and these numbers are expected to increase in the future. Therefore, it is crucial to pay more attention and support SMEs, so we can strengthen the growth of the travel and tourism industry together.
As part of PATA’s mission to support the industry’s growth, we invited members of our SME community to discuss their business, share their upcoming initiatives, tell us their favourite part of being a PATA International Member, and celebrate their achievements with us.
