The recovery of international travel within Asia Pacific has been fuelled by the opening of China to international travel. This webinar will present the latest trends and prospects of tourism demand based on the PATA Visitor Forecasts 2023-2025. Particular focus will be placed on the impact of lifting the travel restrictions by China on visitor arrivals in major destinations within the region. Implications of these forecasts will also be presented and discussed during the webinar. During this webinar, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about the latest forecasts and find out useful insights and analyses for destinations and marketers to prepare for and manage the recovery of their tourism industries for the next three years.

Professor Haiyan Song is Associate Dean and Mr and Mrs Chan Chak Fu Professor in International Tourism in the School of Hotel and Tourism Management, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He has a background in Economics with a particular focus on tourism demand modelling and forecasting. He has published widely in academic journals and served as consultants for a number of international organisations and businesses related to tourism. Read more

Mayur (Mac) Patel is responsible for business development and leading the sales organisation in the region. Prior to joining OAG, Mac was Head of Regional Sales, ASPAC, Middle East and North Africa at Amadeus where he was responsible for their Travel Intelligence business. He spent over seven years at IATA, in a variety of roles focused on aviation data solutions and services.
