As the third step of the TDR Programme, the Resilience Forum provides subnational destinations guidance on how to strengthen national and international partnerships for destination resilience and sustainable tourism development.
The Resilience Forum is a platform for destinations to:
Engage with international organisations to understand protocols and procedures related to obtaining funds and investments for resilience and sustainability; and
Present their destination's current tourism situation, challenges, opportunities and key resilience needs.
The Forum will consist of two parts:
First, a round of presentations by the international organisations GIZ, World Economic Forum, World Bank, Asian Development Bank and Cities Development Initiative For Asia on their current programmes and projects in sustainable and resilient tourism, and how destinations can access their financing and investments opportunities.
Second, a roundtable discussion with representatives from the four TDR participating destinations (Siem Reap, Hoi An, Bogor and Siquijor Island) to present their priority needs for building resilience and their lessons learned from TDR.
*Registration only for public sector DMOs & tourism authorities.
