PATA and the EU SWITCH ASIA Tourlink Project are committed to increasing the sustainability of the Thai tourism value chain. Having published the Food and Plastic Waste Reduction Standards and successfully completed the in-person workshops for businesses in Phuket and Chiang Mai in 2022, PATA is now actively seeking best practices on food and plastic waste reduction in the Thai tourism industry.

are a tourism business based in Thailand
have an inspiring, effective initiative or strategy to reduce food or plastic waste with positive results
Why participate?
The Thai Tourism businesses with the most relevant, impactful and interesting best practice on food and plastic waste reduction will be invited to the PATA Travel Mart 2023 in October, with costs covered, to present their best practice at the PTM Forum where they will also receive the award.
Award Categories
The judging committee will select one winner for a food waste reduction best practice and one winner for a plastic waste reduction best practice. Each business can apply for one or both categories.
