PATA Thailand Chapter : Opinion Survey on the Tragic Violence of 6 Oct 2022 in Nong Bua Lamphu

Thailand, October 20, 2022 – The tragic violence of 6th October 2022 in Nong Bao Lamphu, Thailand, sent shockwaves through Thai society. This ground-breaking survey has been initiated by the PATA Thailand chapter in order to give an opportunity for the entire travel & tourism industry to make its voice heard on the tragedy and its potential impact on our branding image and value proposition.

Violence of any kind is not good for any country, especially countries which promote tourism on the basis of peace, hospitality and friendship. Sadly, such violence is surfacing with increasing frequency.

It cannot be swept under the carpet. Like the many other crises which Thailand has experienced, the vitally important travel & tourism sector has a responsibility to monitor and better understand it.

This survey is being initiated by the PATA Thailand chapter to monitor members' opinions on the events as a first step towards trying to become a part of the solution.

The survey is being kept entirely anonymous. None of the respondents will be identified.

To start the survey,

Please share your views by clicking here and circulating the survey widely. Respondents are not asked to identify themselves, so confidentiality is guaranteed.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
