Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali KARASAR

Rector, Kapadokya University

Hasan Ali Karasar is a professor of International Relations and has been the rector of Cappadocia University since 2017. His primary area of expertise is the former Soviet space, focusing on its politics, history, ethnicity, and religion. He has published extensively on foreign policy-related matters. Previously, he taught at Bilkent and Atılım Universities in Türkiye and was affiliated with the University of Richmond, NYU, the University of Tokyo, Eurasia University, and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. He has served as an election observer for OSCE missions more than 25 times in various parts of the world. Over the past decade, he has played a significant role in tourism planning and sustainability initiatives both in Türkiye and internationally.
