In an industry where women make up only 8% of the workforce (of which only 3% are Maldivian women), Shafiyya's aim is to spotlight women in leadership positions throughout the Maldivian hospitality sector. Shafiyya started her career journey as a restaurant hostess and worked tirelessly to become the youngest Director of Sales.

Shafiyya started her career at the age of 17 and has been an unstoppable strength ever since bringing more than 18+ years of experience in managerial and executive roles in hospitality industry. From an F&B hostess, she moved to Front Office, Spa, Housekeeping, Sales & Events Management, Reservations and Revenue Management in renowned International Hotel Chains.

Shafiyya's greatest motivation is in strengthening others to perform above and beyond expectations.
