PATA Hong Kong SHTM Student Chapter: Annual General Meeting 2023 - 2024
Hong Kong SAR, 15th November 2023 - The PATA Hong Kong SHTM Student Chapter held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the 2023-2024 term, with the objective of welcoming new members, sharing plans for the coming year, and providing networking opportunities to its members.
The meeting was attended by the chapter's members and was led by Dr. Neil Li, along with the executive committee members. The highlight of the event was a guest lecture by industry experts, Ms. Wendy Wong, Assistant Director of Events Management at Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel, and Ms. Jenny Peng, Sales Executive at Shangri-La Hotel, who provided insights into the event industry.
During the meeting, the executive committee members shared their vision and plans for the upcoming year, which were met with enthusiasm from the attendees. In a vote by all present, 10 new members were elected to the Executive Committee, further strengthening the chapter's leadership and ensuring a bright future for the organization.
"The PATA SHTM Annual General Meeting was a resounding success, as we welcomed new members, shared our plans for the coming year, and provided valuable networking opportunities," said Dr. Neil Li. We were glad to have the new Executive Committee and continue to grow the PATA Hong Kong SHTM Student Chapter.
The members left the event feeling inspired and motivated, eager to contribute to the chapter's activities and initiatives in the coming year. The PATA Hong Kong SHTM Student Chapter looks forward to building on the momentum generated by the successful AGM and continuing to provide its members with valuable experiences and opportunities.
