PATA Malaysia HELP University Student Chapter: Durian Hunting
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 31th July 2024 - On 27th July 2024, PATA Malaysia HELP University Student Chapter organized a Durian Hunting Event at Indigo Durian Station, Taman Selayang. We met just in there at 1pm and we started having durians until 2 pm. There were altogether 4 people who participated, and all are from PATAMHUSC and HELP University. The aim of organizing this activity is to explore and try the different types of durians in Malaysia.
Firstly, at 1pm, the staff in there served with different types of durians with each basket together with four coconut drinks. The types of durians that they served are Durian Kampung, D24, XO and 101. Since this is one hour durian buffet, the staffs refilled the durians with the baskets until 2pm except the coconut drinks. During the event, we talked each other about the tastes of each durian that we consumed, and we also discussed about the unique durian differences in Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar and Japan including their types, cultural significance and its seasonality. At 2pm, we ended up our event.
