PATA Philippines LPU-Manila Student Chapter Collaborates with ASEAN Odyssey to Celebrate Diversity Through Eco-Friendly Exhibit
Manila, Philippines, 15th May 2024 - On Wednesday, the 15th, the PATA LPU-Manila Student Chapter joined forces with a vibrant group of fourth-year students, the class of HT414ITM. Embarking on a journey celebrating the traditional arts and culinary delights of Southeast Asian countries with a focus on sustainability and environmental stewardship, the event is entitled "Sustainable ASEAN Booth Exhibit Competition".
The event celebrates ASEAN's beauty, culture, and unity. The exhibition showcases the SDG 12 with its thrilling, innovative, and eco-friendly projects from representing countries across the Southeast Asian region, all on one stage. This achievement, which ensures that various cultures are appreciated and its cultural rights are respected, supports the SDG 10 of addressing inequalities and promoting inclusive societies.
Indeed, it's a wonderful opportunity to experience diverse cultures and nationalities, which the PATA LPU-MNL Student Chapter itself is seizing as our very own Secretary, Paulene Gavino, was crowned First Runner Up in the Ms. Sustainable ASEAN 2024 competition, representing her class alongside the country of Myanmar.
Conclusively, the diverse and environmental advocacy demonstrated by the young travel and tourism professionals serves as a testament to the ongoing commitment to continue promoting unity and sustainable practices.
