PATA Philippines LPU-Manila Student Chapter in the Year of 2020
Manila, Philippines, 26th February, 2021 - Looking back, the Pacific Asia Travel Association Philippines Lyceum of the Philippines University Manila is the first student chapter in the country, but it was only just the beginning. For every planned activity that the chapter provides, we always look at the things that can impact not only within the organization but throughout the university, possibly to other student chapters in the Philippines and even globally.
In this crisis, there are many things to look back and celebrate. Where the ability to provide a platform considering the things that can be done without risking one’s health. In this situation, we are challenged to maximize our resources to interact throughout the organization's institution. We have ended our past term in the start of a pandemic thus it is a challenge and then became an opportunity as well for us. We are blessed to have the capability to share knowledge through an online platform.

The organization's competency made our way to be awarded as the most active student chapter in the Philippines of the year. Lyceum of the Philippines University Student Chapter couldn't have done it without the support of Dr. Lilibeth Aragon, PATA Philippines LPU - Manila Adviser and Sir Bob Zozobrado, PATA Philippines Chairperson. They have shunned us grace and wisdom to embody the essence of being a student leader.
And definitely the opportunity to be taken advantage of is being able to have an impact throughout our events. Our position is not just about ourselves but about the commitment that we have pledged to serve the organization’s members. Through this mindset, we aim for open events where we can interact with different people, whether it is a member of the organization or not, to enlighten them about the importance of the industry we are in which is in fact this community is part of, the Tourism and Hospitality Industry.

We aim to actively support, promote, develop and contribute in PATA's mission and goals, to foster closer working relationships, cooperation, business and networking opportunities with PATA members, and to act as a voice of PATA in the university to help position, promote and protect Asia Pacific Travel and Tourism via sustainable, economic, cultural and environmental methods.
