WORLD NATURE CONSERVATION DAY 2021
Bangalore, India, 28th July 2021 - Earth is experiencing a twin crisis of climate change and biodiversity loss, mainly caused by human activities, presenting tremendous risks to our health, the global economy, and the natural world. Mobilizing a worldwide effort to value, protect, and restore nature is essential to the health of the planet, human society, and economic well-being.
PATA India CHRIST University Student Chapter stepped up and held an exciting quiz competition which was conducted on the 28th of July on World Conservation Day via Instagram. This was a very interesting and engaging event mainly because it managed to capture its audience towards conserving the environment.
The questions were uploaded on Instagram stories, and sufficient time was provided for the viewers to brainstorm and select the correct answers accordingly. All stories were supported by an informative post to help our participants get more clarity on the questions and the topic. To lighten the mood of our viewers to prepare for the forthcoming quiz, we had uploaded stories on conservation day before the event.
The quiz included several topics covering the various unique environmental movements, important dates, famous personalities, and contributions to essential sustainability and environment protection. These questions were briefly made to test the participant’s basic knowledge of nature and its diverse activities.
We witnessed very healthy participation amongst students and their enthusiasm that made the event even more lively. It was also found that the participants found the event very engaging and exciting as the curiosity to know the answer for every question remained the same throughout. The winners were finalized based on a selection mode, who came under the top three on the quiz.
This event was a learning curve for everyone and an excellent opportunity to enhance the knowledge of current daily affairs. The quiz also aimed at celebrating World Conservation Day and spreading awareness about the same amongst students. The event turned out to be a great success, and we look forward to conducting similar events.

Founded in 2020, PATA India CHRIST University Student Chapter is India’s first PATA Student Chapter. The organisation is run by students of the tourism discipline of CHRIST (Deemed to be University) to benefit more than 250 members spanning across undergraduate and postgraduate tourism programmes in the university.
