PATA India Christ University Student Chapter: World Environment Day 2023: Garbage Hunter

Karnataka, India, 4th August 2023 - PATA India Christ University Chapter organized Garbage Hunter on the occasion of World Environment Day 2023. Garbage Hunter is an initiative that focused on cleaning up and collecting waste around the campus. Students from different departments and associations took part in this event. They all collected and bought different plastic waste along with old books, waste papers, and old newspapers. And in return, we awarded and appreciated them by giving an environment-friendly batch. This collected waste will be recycled. This event helped us in making a positive impact on our environment and creating a cleaner, greener community for all. Together we can be the change makers and transform our surrounding into cleaner and healthier spaces. In order to raise awareness of proper garbage disposal and recycling techniques, Garbage Hunter organizes volunteers to take part in routine clean-up campaigns. By working together, the project not only assures an aesthetically pleasing campus but also cultivates a sense of pride and ownership among the locals. Garbage Hunter provides an inspirational example for others to follow by enjoining everyone to take care of their environment, which has a beneficial impact that extends beyond the campus. The Garbage Hunter program plays a crucial role in fostering a sustainable culture and a sense of shared responsibility for the well-being of the campus and the environment because of its common goal of a cleaner, greener future.
