PATA Philippines LPU-Manila Student Chapter Celebrates Philippines Multiculturalism in the Lyceum of the Philippines University during the Pista ng Liseo
Manila, Philippines, 13th May, 2024 - PATA PH LPU Student Chapterbecame part of the Pista sa Liseo, enabling its participants to promote Filipino multiculturalism in the form of festive performances and booth exhibitions of 1st-year tourism and hospitality students of Lyceum of the Philippines University-Manila.
During the college week of tourism and hospitality in Lyceum of the Philippines University-Manila, freshmen students were able to showcase the beauty of Filipino culture by having festival king and queen parades, booths offering local products of provinces in the Philippines and performing various festival dances as the highlight of the event. "It's amazing that these students, despite only being 1st-years, can give a huge effort like this. You can really feel the spirit of multiculturalism in this event. I love it!" said Ms. Zynji Garcia, a 3rd-year cruise line student, while witnessing colorful festival performances.
The event was also participated by a few first-year officers of the student chapter who were able to bag special awards. The first-year representative, Ms. Iris Manalo, and a committee from the membership, Ms. Lloraine Ventura, grabbed the Festival Queen champion and Festival Queen 2nd runner-up, respectively. Ms. Ventura, with her class section, also won the Best in Festival Performance in the said event. Two more first-year students from the student chapter, along with their class sections, participated and showed an outstanding performance that proudly presented their chosen festivals.
