PATA Philippines LPU-Manila Student Chapter in Partnership in Showcasing Excellence in the aviation industry during the InvesTURISMO: The Greatest FA Showmanship
Manila, Philippines, 13th May, 2024 - PATA PH LPU Student Chapter, in partnership with HT413 MICE Class, fosters students' knowledge in the tourism and hospitality industry and promotes excellence in the aviation industry through flight attendant showmanship in InvesTURISMO: The Greatest FA Showmanship.
The whole-day event was divided into two categories, the Quiz Bee competition and the Flight Attendant Showmanship. The first part of the event was participated by a member and officer of the student chapter, able to exemplify their knowledge about the topics of tourism and hospitality industry. The said pair were able to bag the 1st Runner-Up title of the category. In the flight attendant showmanship category of the event that happened in the afternoon, another one of the officers from the Membership Department of the student chapter was able to display her proficiency in doing in-flight safety demos and executing safety procedures in emergency situations with grace and confidence.
Through collaborative efforts among the MICE class and the PATA PH LPU-Manila Student Chapter, the event was able to become a training ground and provided hands-on knowledge and experience to the three participants from the student chapter who became part of the said event. In addition, 10 attendees also participated in the event as supporters of the competitors. Overall, every student who became part of the event became knowledgeable of the industry, which aids them in their future endeavors in the field of tourism and hospitality.
