PATA India Christ University Student Chapter Hosts Exodus 2024: A Celebration of Tourism for Global Harmony
Bangalore, Karnataka, India, 10th February 2024 - PATA India CHRIST University Student Chapter in collaboration with the Department of Tourism Management at Christ (Deemed to be University), Bannerghatta Road Campus, proudly organized Exodus 2024 on February 9th and 10th. This annual flagship event, themed "Tourism for Global Harmony," aimed to foster collaboration and innovation in the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors. With over 300 participants from various esteemed institutions, Exodus 2024 provided a platform for students to engage with industry professionals, confront real-world challenges, and explore the transformative potential of tourism.
The event featured a series of dynamic activities, including the "Urban Voyager" niche itinerary competition, the "Travel Hackathon" innovation challenge, and the "Global Harmony Spectra" cultural forum. The inauguration ceremony was graced by notable figures such as Dr Bindi Varghese, Dr John Paul Raj, Ms Suzalina Chaudhary, and Mrs M D Riti. Highlights included the unveiling of the "Travelogue" and "Frequent Flyer" magazines, alongside engaging keynote addresses that emphasized the theme's significance. Participants demonstrated remarkable creativity and problem-solving skills, showcasing innovative marketing plans, sustainable travel itineraries, and insightful business ideas.
Exodus 2024 concluded with a diverse range of events, from the "Mastermind" quiz competition to the "Reel Rendezvous" videography contest, all underscoring the theme of global harmony through tourism. The event successfully highlighted the intersection of education, industry, and culture, providing students with invaluable insights and experiences. The Department of Tourism Management looks forward to continuing this legacy, promoting global unity and sustainable development through tourism.

Founded in 2020, PATA India CHRIST University Student Chapter is India’s first PATA Student Chapter. The organization is run by students of the tourism discipline of CHRIST (Deemed to be University) to benefit more than 250 members spanning across undergraduate and postgraduate tourism programmes in the university. The members are encouraged to participate in activities hosted by the chapter, focusing on various industry concerns, including sustainability and industry development.
